I have worked on and off with Shane for about 20 years. During this time, we have worked on multiple projects together. There are many things that stand out, but the most important ones are:
1. Follow Through - Shane is meticulous in capturing requirements and making sure that all action items are taken care of or assigned to the right person. This ensures that deadlines are met on or ahead of time so that projects meet expectations.
2. Patience - Most projects in IT will run into multiple issues along the way. Shane has always been able to handle these with grace under pressure, ensuring that they do not become obstacles to success. He communicates everything, good or bad, with all parties involved, to make sure everyone is on the same page and working together.
3. Empathy - Regardless of the issue, Shane is able to de-escalate it and break it down so that it can be handled by all parties involved. This approach helps to minimize stress, especially of the developers and stakeholders, allowing them to focus on the task at hand.
