PROJECT: VZW Power Browser (Verizon)

Role:

Hired by Verizon Wireless as a Product Strategist to bring  to market new mobile products that answer business needs and resonate with customers.

Challenge:

Company wanted to address Wi-Fi blind spot (lack of visibility into customer behavior when connected over Wi-Fi), mediocre mobile web browsing experience, a need to increase Selects Opt-ins and a need for incremental revenue on top of existing products.

Resolution:

Led and managed entire life-cycle, from ideation to executive approval of VZW Power Browser project. The consumer benefits include providing easy access to content relevant to sites consumers are viewing without them having to type, facilitating readability of non-mobile optimized sites, eliminating the need for multiple browsing windows and allowing users to easily shop and get deals. The Power Browser will be delivered to 28 million users in Q1 14 and is projected to drive over 18 million Selects opt-ins, bridge the Wi-Fi blind spot for over 60% of Android customers, and generate close to $30 million through 2016.
